Speaker Series Through the speaker series, JAA presents dynamic panels and international speakers on contemporary and provocative social justice issues. In 2010, JAA’s will host a speaker series event every 2 months. Volunteer Training In line with our philosophy of ongoing learning, and to help volunteers make the most of their experience, JAA facilitates orientation workshops, cross-cultural training, and debriefing sessions for all volunteers. Training is tailored to each program. Library JAA’s library provides books and dvds on social justice themes to volunteers, members, and others who come in to the JAA volunteer hub. Tikkun Olam Network Through the Tikkun Olam Network, JAA facilitates dialogue and harmonization of activities between Social Justice committees at synagogues, youth movements, and Jewish schools. Speaker service On request by synagogues, schools, youth movements, or other interested groups, JAA is able to arrange guest speakers on a range of topics. (eg: Darfuri Refugee) Monthly AJN Column Gary Samowitz, CEO, publishes a monthly column in the AJN about contemporary social justice issues and its relevance to the Jewish community.
